Sourcing Emeralds: Emerald is the mesmerizing green to bluish-green variety of beryl, a type of mineral that also includes aquamarine as well as beryls in other colors. Emerald belongs to the silicate chemical class, a subclass of cyclosilicates. The name "emerald" comes from its distinctive green color, caused by impurities such as chromium, iron, and vanadium replacing aluminum in its crystalline structure. The intensity of the color is determined by the amount of these impurities in the beryl's chemical structure (Souza et al.1987). For gemological purposes, the hardness of an emerald is an important factor, and it ranges from 7.5 to 8 on the 10-point Mohs scale. The mineral exhibits pleochroism, meaning it displays different colors when viewed from different angles. The pleochroism of emeralds ranges from yellowish-green to bluish-green. The relative density of emeralds is between 2,670 and 2,780 (Sinkankas 1981), and crystals from the Belmont mine have a measured relative density of 2.710 (±0.020) (Sauer 1982). Conscious Designing: The next step is designing our unique pieces. Utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, we create a detailed 3D model, aiming to minimize material waste and incorporate recycled materials whenever possible. Each design is made to last, reducing the need for replacement and waste.

Eco-friendly Casting: Once our design is complete, we cast the piece in metal using a wax or resin mold. All metal scraps or unused portions are saved and recycled, ensuring minimal waste.

Precision Stone Setting: Our skilled craftspeople then meticulously carve the metal to securely fit each stone. The stone setting process is done by hand, ensuring precision and avoiding any damage to the precious gemstones.

Detailed Polishing & Finishing: Every Belmont Sparkle piece is polished and finished to perfection. The piece is thoroughly cleaned and polished to bring out its natural shine. Any detailing, engraving, or other finishing touches are also added during this stage.

Rigorous Quality Control: The next step of our process involves a thorough inspection of the finished piece to ensure it meets the highest quality standards. If necessary, we make adjustments at this stage.

Packaging: After the jewelry has passed the quality assurance check, it’s time for packaging. We package our jewelry in sustainable, premium boxes ready for delivery to our customers. We ensure that our packaging is not only environmental friendly but also adds to unboxing experience, making the moment of receiving & opening our purchase special.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond just the manufacturing process. We strive to power our workshops with renewable energy sources, invest in energy-efficient equipment, and promote fair labor practices. We are also dedicated to minimizing waste through recycling and responsible disposal. A portion of our profits is contributed to environmental and social causes.

When you purchase a piece from Belmont Sparkle, you're not just buying beautiful jewelry - you're supporting a company that's deeply committed to preserving our planet and creating a better world.
