1. Why should I choose Belmont Sparkle?
Belmont Sparkle is a jewelry brand from world leading producer of responsibly sourced emeralds, Belmont.
Belmont family has long aspired to be able to bring conflict-free emerald jewelry directly from the mine to the consumers. Belmont Sparkle arose from this vision, combining the expertise of Belmont with a cutting-edge jewelry manufacturing company based in India, that shares the same commitment to sustainability and quality as the mine. The renowned factory is known for high standards of quality and ethics is proudly certified by the Responsible Jewelers Council, the benchmark of ethical jewelry and gems organizations all over the world.
All these aspects add up to make Belmont Sparkle more than just jewelry. It’s a reflection of value, timelessness and heritage that can be passed onto the next generations.
2. What if I need to resize my ring?
We will resize your ring once for free within the first year of your purchase, including free return shipping within the U.S. and Canada for the first resize. If more than one resize is needed or a resize is needed outside of the first year, a $25 fee applies to resize white, yellow, and rose gold rings, and $50 for platinum. The return shipping fee to send your item to us is $30
Some rings cannot be resized and will need to be remanufactured. This may be due to a size restriction, falling outside of the recommended range, or due to the design style. Upon receipt and inspection of your ring, you will be notified prior to any work being done to discuss the charge to remanufacture your ring.
During our 14-day return policy, you will not be charged if your ring needs to be remanufactured. There will be a fee for rings that need to be remanufactured outside the 14-day return policy. Exclusions and limitations apply. It is important to know that your new ring may not look ‘exactly’ like the original, as minor variations can occur.
3. What determines the quality of emeralds?
Similar to diamonds, emeralds may also be graded according to the “four C’s”: color, clarity, cut and carat weight.
Color: Chromium, vanadium, and iron are the trace elements that cause emerald’s color variation. The presence, absence of even their relative amounts determine the tone of an emerald. From the viewpoint of laboratories, “emerald green” should be the perfect balance of blue and yellow – a pure green hue. In practice, the appreciation and preference of the emerald color whether lighter or darker are based on individual preferences and therefore subjective.
Clarity: Unlike other precious stones, genuine emeralds commonly present internal inclusions that are unique of each item. For this reason, eye-visible inclusions are generally accepted more in emeralds than any other stones. These characteristics should not be considered a defect but evidence of authenticity. The inclusion in emeralds usually range from fair to excellent, the latest being extremely rare.
- EXCELLENT Very difficult to see inclusion under 10x magnification /These are typically inclusion free, or almost inclusion free.
- VERY GOOD: very slight inclusions not typically visible to the unaided eye, and difficult to see under 10x magnification.
- GOOD: few inclusions are visible under 10x magnification, and may be visible with the unaided eye
- FAIR: inclusions that are visible to the unaided eye.
All jewelry from Belmont Sparkle is guaranteed to feature no less than GOOD quality which means few inclusions are visible under 10x magnification and may be visible to unaided eye.
Cut: The cut of an emerald refers to the way the gemstone has been shaped and polished. It includes the angles, proportions, symmetry, and finishing of the gemstone. A well-cut emerald will have an even distribution of color and brilliance throughout the stone.
Carat weight: the weight of an emerald is measured in carats, and it refers to the gem's size. The larger the emerald, the higher the carat weight.
All jewelry from Belmont Sparkle is guaranteed to feature no less than SI 1 diamond quality which means slight inclusions are visible under 10x magnification although the diamonds may appear clean to the naked eye.

EMERALD/ DIAMOND CARE
1. Cleaning:Clean emeralds with warm soapy water and a soft brush. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as emeralds are relatively soft and can be easily scratched.
2. Storage: Store your emerald jewelry separately to avoid scratches from other jewelry pieces. It's best to keep them in a fabric-lined jewelry box, or in individual soft cloth pouches.
3. Handling: Always remove emerald jewelry before doing any physical work or activities where the gemstone might be hit or damaged.
4. Avoid extreme temperature changes: Sudden temperature changes can cause emeralds to crack. Keep them away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
GOLD CARE
1. Cleaning: Soak your gold jewelry in a solution of warm water and mild dish soap. Gently scrub with a soft toothbrush to remove dirt and oil. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
2. Storage: Store gold jewelry separately to prevent scratching from other pieces. A fabric-lined jewelry box or individual soft pouches are ideal.
3. Avoid harsh chemicals: Remove gold jewelry before using household cleaning products or swimming in chlorinated water.
In all cases, it's advisable to take your jewelry for professional cleaning and inspection at least once a year. This will maintain the jewelry's beauty and ensure any potential issues (like loose gemstones) are identified early.
Certainly, here are a few more general guidelines that customers can follow:
1. Regular Inspections: Have your jewelry inspected by a professional at least once a year to ensure that settings are secure and to professionally clean hard-to-reach places.
2. Avoid Rough Handling: Be aware that precious metals and gemstones are susceptible to damage from rough handling. Remove your jewelry when doing household chores or engaging in sports.
3. Personal Care Products: Avoid wearing jewelry while applying cosmetics, hairspray, perfumes, or lotions. These products might contain chemicals that can damage your jewelry.
4. Avoid Swimming: Remove your jewelry before entering a pool or hot tub. The chlorine used in these can react with the metals and stones, causing color changes and structural damage.
5. Home Cleaning: For most jewelry, a gentle cleaning at home with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft toothbrush can help maintain its shine. Always ensure to rinse and dry the jewelry thoroughly.
6. Jewelry First Off, Last On: As a general rule, jewelry should be the last thing you put on while getting dressed and the first thing you take off. This prevents it from getting caught on clothes and reduces exposure to perfumes and other cosmetic products.
7. Insurance: Consider insuring valuable pieces. Insurance can provide coverage for loss, theft, or damage.
8. Know When to Leave it to the Professionals: If your jewelry is heavily tarnished, or has precious and semi-precious stones, it's best to have it cleaned by professionals.
Remember that these are general care instructions. Different gemstones and materials may require different care, so always consult with a professional or research specific care instructions for the type of jewelry you have.
